  1. In a bowl add all purpose flour, turmeric powder,salt,oil and required amount of water to knead to a soft dough. Let it rest for four to five hours.
  2. For the filling, cut an apple into pieces and pulse for a minute. To it add chopped banana to get a smooth fruit puree.
  3. In a heavy bottomed kadhai add jaggery with little water on a medium heat. Let it dissolve completely. Strain the jaggery syrup to remove impurities.
  4. To the jaggery syrup add cardamom powder and let it boil. To the boiling syrup add fruit puree and mix well.
  5. When the mixture thickens,add grated coconut and mix well. Filling has to swirl around the kadhai.This is the correct consistency for Puran Poli. Let it cool.
  6. After four to five hours, the kneaded dough will be soft and it's ready to use.
  7. Divide dough into small equal ball's. Roll the dough flat and fill a tablespoon of fruit Puran and seal as shown.
  8. Roll the sealed stuffed Puran Poli into flat round shape and transfer to a tawa and fry as chappati without adding oil.
  9. Fry on both the sides until it's properly cooked on both sides.
  10. Serve hot Apple Banana Puran Poli with melted ghee.
