- Heat the ghee in a broad non stick pan, add the dal and jiggery mix well and cook for 10 to 12 minutes on a medium flame till the mixture thickens.
- Stirring continuously and add the cardamom powder, grated coconut, and poppy seeds, saffron water and mix well.
- Cool slightly and divide it into a equal portions. Keep aside.
- Make small balls of the dough.
- Roll out each into a 4cms disc using a little wheat flour for rolling.
- Put a small ball of the dal mixture in the centre.
- Form into a ball roll out into a 10cms disc.
- Cook on a griddle pan on a medium flame till brown spots appear on both sides.
- Smear a little ghee on each puran poli and serve with other Menu.
